piggie: 2001-2005

23 04 2005

Our oldest guinea pig, Piggy, died on March 29th a day before Sue’s mom went to the emergency room. I have been meaning to put these pictures up for a couple of weeks, but other things seem to have happened. Piggy was not doing well, had gotten really skinny and the other pig was picking on her. We had separated them for the last couple of months. She was a good pig, who at our old house was a free range guinea. When we moved to our new house we discovered that she had a fondness for my computer wires and was no longer allowed to run around. Sue loved to pet her and give her many carrots and peppers over Piggy’s lifetime. We will miss the little squeaker.

is the pope on the dark side?

No I’m not saying he is evil, he just looks a little evil. When Sue first saw him she said he looked evil, no I told her, he just looks like The Emperor from Star Wars. So here they are side by side.

A funeral is a very sad time. The one thing good about them is that all of the family gets to see each other. Ron’s brother came in from Flordia and his sister came in from Georgia. Vera’s sister came in from Massachutes. And cousins came in from Texas, Geogia and Cleveland.

Here is a view from 670 while driving back from campus on my birthday(Sue took the picture, while I was driving). Happy Freaking 26th. Went to work. At lunch I picked up bug spray at Home Depot and bought some softballs from the local sporting goods store. After work Sue and I drove to campus to pay one of Christine’s friends for her football ticket for next season. On the way back I stopped and picked up my car from the dealership because it was stalling on me. Two dumb sensors cost me $670, hopefully the thing lasts for a couple more years with all the money we have been sinking into it. Then we came home and watched some Lord of the Rings. Ah what a great day. Oh I am complaining because I like to. I did get a couple of cards, a couple of e-cards, and a couple of e-mails at work. And I did just get myself a big TV(see below) so whatever I should not be complaining, but I feel like a fat old man now. Oh well. Welcome to my late 20’s.

easter

Easter was the last time we saw Sue’s mom. Sue and I helped out and cooked Easter dinner for her mom and dad, her sisters, her Cousin Jeff, his wife Sue, his two kids, and my mom and dad. Here are some pictures from then.
