parade the circle

Bruin | 06.12.2005 | 19:35

We joined a large group from the Cleveland Children’s Museum in the Parade the Circle Celebration on Saturday. We sweated and burned ourselves in the 90 degree heat. Sue and I were drafted into the hula-hoop drill team. The ladies were pretty set on their routines. About half way through the parade, Jeff took over for Sue and we came up with combo twists, over under twists and a hole slew of crap to do with two hula-hoops and two strips of cloth. Our group was definitely not the coolest or the most creative, but I think we were the biggest with around 150 paraders. We caught some of the other groups near the end of the parade and saw a lot of people on stilts, a Monty Python Holy Grail reenactment, and some Julie Taymorish dinosaurs.
