Happy Birthday EWAN!

30 01 2007

Daddy sucks and the only picture he took of you today (so far) is you bundled up to go out to the car ride for your trip to daycare. You are starting to cry when I drop you off, and you are teething some mean first molars.

You don’t know what you like to eat, you don’t really like baby food anymore and you don’t really like grown up food. You do like to feed Darcy when she begs by your highchair. You love to explore the dangerous house and open the kitchen cabinets and take out the Tupperware and pots and pans.

Daddy and mommy suck and have yet to install latches on the cabinets you should not be playing in, so we watch you like a hawk when you are at home, or just trap you in the living room with a couple of baskets.

You really like to bang things together and clap your hands. You can put the round peg in the round hole, but have more trouble with the triangle, square and star shapes. You like to dance. You wiggle your butt around when you hear music.

You like to knock down daddy’s stacks of your wood blocks and laughed a great belly laugh when daddy was throwing a ball in the air while laying down and hit himself in the crotch. Grandpa Ron’s watch and glasses cases are the coolest things in the world.

You like to pull mommy’s hair and glasses off her face, but she is your favorite when you are hurt or sad. You are mischievous and your response to us saying no is to look at us with a little smile and continue what you were doing (except for a couple of times when mommy looked mean at you and you cried, you got over that quickly though and now mean looks don’t really mean much to you.) You are still babbling. I think you call me dada, but you call a lot of things dada.

Happy Birthday Buster!

Update and Ewan on the Bed in the Yellow Room

25 01 2007

Well…Sue and I have been really busy at work lately, and just in time for deadlines to be near (or past), Ewan decides to infect us with his evil gastroenteritis.

He was kind of sleepy on Sunday and threw up his dinner, but other than being a little clingy did not act sick. Monday morning, while at daycare, Ewan decided to blow out a few diapers and throw up some more so he was sent home. Grandpa Ron was still around after picking up the van from Christine on Sunday, so he watched the infected little boy and caught his illness. I regurgitated my dinner very early Tuesday morning and Sue decided to wait until today to start feeling awful.

As well, on Sunday I decided to go to work, only to slip and slide in the snow into the median on 670. Luckily, the front fender and wheel were the only things damaged (along with a little of my ego) on Sue’s car. I also managed to forget my keys to work so all in all I should have stayed at home and watched football like I wanted to.

What a week and its only Wednesday.

Here are a few photos of Ewan sitting on the bed from Saturday.

Ewan as rendered in twenty 8.5″x11″ images created with The Rastorbator.  Its pretty cool.  I have some frames left over and am looking for another picture to Rastorbate.

Early 2007

16 01 2007

and some late 2006…

Ewan takes baths, the Cready’s laugh, Ewan gets a drink for the New Year, takes another bath and mugs for the camera after dinner.

Sorry so infrequent with the posts. We have been busy with work and a baby that wants to go everywhere we have not baby proofed (about 98% of the house).
