We invaded Sue’s cousin Jeff’s house this weekend, and they showed us all the activities we get to look forward to in a few years.
On Saturday I attended Justin’s baseball practice, which Jeff is the coach. It was pretty fun to hit some grounders to the little tykes, while they were picking dandelions and kicking dirt at each other.
Then we headed back home and grabbed everyone else and headed to Justin’s soccer match. One kid just left the game when an ice cream truck came by and played on the playground for the rest of the game. Ewan enjoyed playing with the ball after the game.
We took along Darcy so she got to meet Macey, the recently fixed Terrier puppy. At about a quarter of Darcy’s side, Macey would fight until Darcy pinned her, give up, and bite at Darcy’s feet and tail and start the rumble again.
On Sunday, we walked with the kids in the Lyndhurst softball/baseball/t-ball parade. Imagine hundreds of kids trowing candy to a handful of parade watchers, it’s pretty funny.
Oh, Ewan started really walking everywhere last week, so that was even more fun.
