Prego, Granna, Dezireé, and Nicky

My sister and mom came down during the week and stayed for a couple of weeks days so that my sisters kids could spend some quality time with Ewan before they headed to school the next week.

Ewan really fell hard for his cousins and enjoyed hanging all over Dezireé and wresting with Nicholas. Sue played hooky took a personal day from work one day and they all went to the zoo.

Ewan was very sad when they left, and still asks where Dezireé and Nicky are every morning when I am getting him dressed for “school”.

Well low and behold, I’m still doing this after starting in September of 2004. Thanks to the 12 of you read this a day, without you I would be just vanity blogging to myself. I have been boaring you with all of our life’s trivialities and thoughts, but mostly we do something picture worthy, and then I tell you in about 10 misspelled words what we did, and then link to flickr to show you in about 50 too many pictures of what actually happened. Along the way we have lost and gained family and friends. Enough of that…on to the post.

At the end of the Fair Set there were two pictures that did not really belong. That’s because after going to the Fair on Saturday, we traveled south to Cincinnati on Sunday to welcome home Elise, whom was last seen here in 2006. She has been playing Dr. for the last couple of years in Japan, and was home for three days, before she was to report to here new base in FL. Welcome home Elise, we are glad you are back in the USA, especially now that you are living next to a nice warm sandy beach with blue blue water in your back yard…

The Fair 2008

We met Uncle Brad, Aunt Bonnie, and cousins Robert and Nicholas at the Ohio State Fair last weekend. Ewan enjoyed the trains, model and Lego, the animals, and especially the helicopter that was giving 2 minute rides for $30 dollars.

Ron and Maryann Wedding

Here are most of the pictures from Ron and Maryann’s wedding which was held on August 2. I took most of the wedding, church group, and reception pictures. Sue took the table pictures and and dancing pictures, along with my mom and Ewan, who took some of more interesting pictures of the night.

Friday

We hiked and carried Ewan around Lake Minnewaska. We split up and some went back the the resort and the rest of us went on to the Beacon Hill trail.

It was Maria’s birthday, so we went to the Tiki Bar for the last night. Some stayed longer than others, and some felt way worse than others on the way home on Saturday. Thus ends vacation for another year. Hopefully some more grandparents (>0) make the trip next year so they can spend some quality time with Ewan…

Vacation IV

Thursday.

It rained and was gloomy until around noon. Then the sun came out and it was a glorious day.

Ewan decided he wanted to take pictures so here are some of his better ones. He has a distinct style of his own. Pictures at an up angle, with a slight angle to them are most likely his.

We also sat around the booze and sang the some old songs that Bill knows on his guitar. Luckily for us, Sue was subjected to many a rode trip with oldies music. She remembers every little thing I say, so remembering a song from the ’50’s is easy as pie for her.

Wednesday.

It rained. We hiked up to the falls, and played in the water and found the best blueberries and picked a whole bagful.

It was also Hutzul night, so we got dressed up in our fancy shirts.
