Christmas Day After

Christmas night, we drove to Granna and Grandpa Ray’s house to celebrate Christmas with the fam. We spent the day eating sweet rolls, opening presents, playing games, and sleeping.

A nice relaxing day.

Christmas Eve and Day

This year we had our first Christmas Eve and Day at our house. We normally are at Sue’s dad’s house for Christmas Eve, and wake up early to spend Christmas Day at our parents. This year we started our new traditions at home, because Ron and Mary Ann drove to Connecticut to spend the holidays with Mary Ann’s daughters.

It was very nice and relaxing. Christine made traditional Ukrainian vegan boscht, bread and some other stuff. We opened presents and then went to Midnight Mass.

Christmas day Ewan got stuff from Santa and we sat around in our jammies.

Here is my half assed Christmas decorations. Usually I hop around on the roof and decorate the house much better. This year I got distracted and decided to decorate when there was ice covering the house, thus only lights I could reach with my own two feet planted on the ground.

The second annual Taylor Thanksmas aka Christgiving went with out a hitch with nineteen peoples in attendence. Grandma went all out with crocheting 4 large afgans an a little one for the unborn child. Here are the photos from Saturday.

I did not do anything noteworthy this weekend. Though Sue and I went bowling with a friend of hers from work… After a shaky start, I managed to bowl a 92 and a 108. Sue kicked my ass with a 115 and a 130 something. I think we have found another sport that she is better than me. Oh well. Then today I cleaned our bath room and the pig cage. You are now smarter for reading this blog.

Next week, Sue and I are going to be traveling to the Sunshine State to see my grandparents and go to a conference for work. It should be fun with pictures from Florida forthcoming. So here are some holiday pictures from our house.

Here is my collection of Hallmark Classic American Car ornaments that I get from my Grandma every year.

Here is our fake Christmas tree with some presents.

And lastly here is my half assed attempt to decorate the house. I really need to add a couple more strands to go around the front of the house, but in all likelihood I’m not going back on the roof until I take them down in March.
